Catarina Soares Martins (born 7 September 1973) is a Portuguese actress and politician. She has been chairman of the ''Bloco de Esquerda'' party (Left Bloc) since 2012. Martins has worked as an actress in several theatres and is the co-founder of an avant-garde project entitled ''Companhia de Teatro de Visões Úteis'', which emerged in Porto in 1994. She was elected to parliament as the first Left Bloc representative of Porto in 2009.
